Beginner's Yoga Courses

Even experts were once beginners!

Everyone has to start somewhere and we know it can be intimidating being a beginner. That's why some of our yoga classes are specifically designed to offer you extra time and attention in a supported learning environment. New students can then find their confidence and learn proper alignment of yoga asanas (postures) and breathing techniques in the specific types of yoga we offer.

Yoga classes listed with 'beginners' are suitable for those completely new to yoga. However, if you have any questions or reservations please contact us directly and we can recommend the most appropriate class for you to start enjoying a yoga practice at The Exeter Yoga Workshop.

Come with an open mind and ask questions whenever you want more information! You don't need to bring anything, just your bare feet and a willingness to try something new.

Intro to Yoga:
Beginners Course (8wks)

This Introductory 8-week Hatha Yoga course is ideal for complete beginners, yoga students with less than a year's yoga practice and for those more practiced yogis who wish to deepen and further their knowledge and understanding of yoga.

'Moving into Mysore' is a 6-week beginners course ideal for complete beginners, rusty practitioners or anyone interested in experiencing the Mysore-style Ashtanga Yoga environment.This short course is run regularly throughout the year, but limited to 6 people per course.

The Beginners Intensive (2-Day Course)

This very popular weekend workshop is run 3 times a year at the studio and is designed specifically for those with no experience of yoga or those wanting to learn more about Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

This fully detailed 2-day workshop will both prepare students for a Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga class and build the foundations of a sustainable home practice.

A 50 page course guidebook is provided
