Yoga Classes for Beginners
We remember our first yoga class, so we know what its like to be a ‘beginner’. Everyone has to start somewhere and we know it can be intimidating being the new student in class. That’s why many of our yoga classes are specifically designed to offer beginners extra time and attention in a supported learning environment. New yoga students can then find their confidence and learn proper alignment of yoga asanas (postures) and breathing techniques in the specific types of yoga we offer.
Our weekly classes are tiered to help you know what to expect from that class.
Level 1 – Open to all, including beginners.
Level 2 – Suitable for those with some yoga experience, and beginners who like a challenge
Level 3 – Only suitable for those with yoga experience. Not suitable for beginners.
Yoga classes listed with ‘level 1‘ will accommodate those completely new to yoga.
We recommend that all new students attend our 8-week Intro to Yoga beginners course, where you can learn the foundations of Hatha Yoga practice in a slow step-by-step process, surrounded by other complete beginners.

As we always say: “the most difficult thing about yoga is showing up”. Absolutely the best way to make self-care a new habit is to register for one of our specially designed beginners courses. Each week you will be given expert tuition and build a sustainable yoga practice from the ground up. At the end of each course you will feel confident and ready to join a weekly drop-in class and continue your yoga journey.

The Beginners Intensive
This very popular weekend workshop is run 3 times a year at the studio and is designed specifically for those with no experience of yoga or those wanting to learn more about Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
This fully detailed 2-day workshop will both prepare students for a Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga class and build the foundations of a sustainable home practice.
A 50 page course guidebook is provided.
