Booking & Cancellation Policy

Our Booking Policies & Company Details

The Exeter Yoga Workshop and YOGABEYOND® mission is to offer you the fullest and most accessible experience of yoga we are able to. In order for us to offer the best service possible it is necessary to establish clear boundaries during our professional interaction. These terms and conditions cover the commercial aspect of the teaching services we exchange for your money and are for the benefit of both parties.

We make our cancellation and refund policy transparent – ensuring it’s available before booking, at the time of booking and also on your receipt confirmation – so you can make an informed decision. Please take time to read this carefully. All clients are asked to agree to these terms and conditions upon attending classes or events at Exeter Yoga Workshop.

Class Booking & Cancellation Policy:

Classes booked through our online payment system deem you to be attending that class and therefore a minimum period of 24-hours notice is required for cancellation, referred to as an ‘early’ cancellation. Cancellations made within 24-hours of the start of the class are considered ‘late’ cancellations and will be charged at full price with no exceptions. In the event of an ‘early’ cancellation, your drop-in pass will be credited back to your account for future use (12 months expiry).

Monthly Membership Policy:

Purchasing a rolling 1-Month Membership, entitles you to the stated number of classes for a period of one month. Attendance of more than the stated number of classes will require an additional purchase at the drop-in rate. Your membership contract starts on the sale date and will renew on the same date the following month unless a cancellation is made. EYW requires 30-days prior notice to terminate your contract, which must be given in writing.

Missed classes will not roll over into the following month. Studio Memberships are not valid for Mysore Ashtanga Yoga classes, courses, workshops or intensives. Premium Memberships are valid for all studio classes, including Mysore classes, but not valid for courses, workshops or intensives.

Memberships are not transferable or refundable.

Event Booking & Cancellation Policy:

The full name, phone number and email address of every participant is required for attendance. All yoga events have limited number of spaces. Please be aware that your space will not be secure (and may be filled) until you have paid the request amount (deposit or full amount). Bookings made are for the dates stated and are non-transferable.

Courses, workshops, Intensives and trainings are fully inclusive and if days/sessions are missed these cannot be redeemed, so please ensure you have created the available time and space to attend each day/session.

If you have booked a place and are unable to attend an event for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place may be offered to someone else. Provided you have notified us within the cancellation window (see below), you can receive a refund (less deposit / admin fee), or have the option of being transferred to another event. We regret no refund or transfers can be given outside of these terms, including if you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, work/family changes, pregnancy or other reasons. Before committing to an event, please ensure you can attend the scheduled number of sessions. In the event of long-term illness or injury to the participant, a partial refund or transfer may be offered at the discretion of the event organizer. Please note that in such circumstances a doctor’s note will be requested. In the event that a transfer is agreed between both parties it is understood that no further refunds or transfers will be permitted.

This cancellation policy is firm. If you are concerned about the possibility of needing to cancel your booking, we highly recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

Courses & Workshops:

A ‘course’ is defined as a prepaid enrolment that meets weekly for a set number of weeks. A ‘workshop’ is defined as a one-off teaching event of up to a day or less.

  • 14 days (or more) prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 10% admin fee), or can be transferred* (no admin fee) to another event.
  • 7-14 days prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 50% cancellation fee), but not transferable.
  • Less than 7 days prior to the start date:
    No refunds or transfers will be given. If your space can be filled from a waiting list you will receive a full refund (less 10% admin fee).

*In the event that a transfer is agreed between both parties it is understood that no further refunds or transfers will be permitted.

Intensives & Immersions:

An ‘intensive’ or an ‘immersion’ is a one-off teaching event of more than one day that does not offer professional CPD training or certification.

  • 14 days (or more) prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 10% admin fee), or can be transferred* (no admin fee) to another event.
  • 7-14 days prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 50% cancellation fee), but not transferable.
  • Less than 7 days prior to the start date:
    No refunds or transfers will be given. If your space can be filled from a waiting list you will receive a full refund (less 10% admin fee).

*In the event that a transfer is agreed between both parties it is understood that no further refunds or transfers will be permitted.

CPD Training Courses:

CPD trainings are specialist professional training programmes of varying lengths.

  • 30 days (or more) prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 10% admin fee), or can be transferred* (no admin fee) to another event.
  • 14-29 days prior to the start date:
    Payments are refundable (less 50% cancellation fee), but not transferable.
  • Less than 14 days prior to the start date:
    No refunds or transfers will be given. If your space can be filled from a waiting list you will receive a full refund (less 10% admin fee).

*In the event that a transfer is agreed between both parties it is understood that no further refunds or transfers will be permitted.

YOGABEYOND® 300hr Yoga Teacher Training Programme:

  • 90 days (or more) prior to the start date:
    Your payment will be refunded (less the non-refundable deposit)
  • 60 – 90 days prior to the start date:
    Payments are not refundable, but are transferable* to a future Teacher Training Programme (less the non-refundable deposit)
  • Less than 60 days prior to the start date:
    Payments are not refundable or transferable.

*In the event that a transfer is agreed between both parties it is understood that no further refunds or transfers will be permitted.

If the event organiser has to cancel:

We reserve the right to cancel events for any reason. This will only happen in exceptional circumstances (for example; government guidelines or sickness of our teacher’s) that means we cannot offer the event as advertised, or if there are insufficient numbers for the event to make it viable. Should this happen you will have the option to transfer to the rescheduled event, or be offered a full refund.

In the event of circumstances that cause the organiser not to be able to offer part of the course (eg illness), an alternative class/date/option will be offered. If this is not convenient a partial refund will be offered to cover that individual session.

We take no responsibility for any additional costs that have been occurred for your travel, accommodation or rate of exchange loss.

We cannot be held responsible for unforeseen circumstances (such as weather, illness or transport problems) that lead to the participant being unable to attend the scheduled course sessions.
