Yes to Yoga: Yoga 4 Teens (aged 13-19)

6-week yoga course for teenagers (aged 13-19), w/ Angela Trevallion

There are many benefits to practising Yoga, but just turning up is enough!

It might seem like yoga is something for middle-aged stiff people, but the truth is young people have benefited from yoga for as long as history has kept a record. Yoga postures (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama) and mindfulness are all very helpful to keep young people centred and balanced through what can be a very challenging time. Yoga practice also helps improve concentration, ease social anxiety, regulate mood and build a strong connection between body and mind.

Angela’s Yoga 4 Teens classes are a progressive and non competitive. You will explore fun and different yoga postures to build strength, improve flexibility, balance, coordination in the body, and to calm the mind. In addition, you will learn breathing and mindfulness techniques to bring awareness and build emotional intelligence, to help understand ourselves and others better.

No prior yoga experience required.

Yoga Equipment

Please bring your own yoga mat. Yoga mats are available to buy from the studio reception. Owning your own yoga mat will help you build confidence and make progress in between classes at the studio and after the course has finished.

Any other yoga props required during class (eg straps, blocks, blankets or bolsters) will be provided by the studio.
