Life exists on the edge of your comfort zone! Explore the physics and physiology of anti-gravity, in this fun and challenging workshop
One of the most fundamental, yet challenging parts, of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practice is learning to ‘float back’ and ‘glide through’. It seems impossible at first, and can take years to master. However, the difficult journey towards this feat of anti-gravity represents the transformational heart of this method of Hatha Yoga.
I remember my own excuses “my legs are too heavy” or “my arms are too short”. I had convinced myself I would never get off the ground and jump back… Until I did!
In this energising and fun 3hr Ashtanga Yoga Masterclass, we will breakdown the outer (physical body mechanics) and inner (emotional and physiology) requirements of jumping back and through. Using clever adaptations, props and special skill-building techniques, we will explore the key components required to master these seemingly impossible feats of anti-gravity.
- Learn why the jump back’s and jump trough’s are so important in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
- Explore the physical biomechanics, and inner physiology, of jumping back and through.
- Breakthrough the limiting beliefs and excuses, that are holding you back from success.
- Explore amazing skill-building techniques that will finally make the impossible possible!
- Practice different modifications, and learn the most appropriate adaptation for your practice.
